What is FoodOnEarth.com?

FoodOnEarth.com is a network of restaurants, providing innovative marketing to restaurant partners and offering online menus with interactive ordering online which include delivery, carry out, dine-in and catering. FoodOnEarth will connect more than hundred thousand of restaurants in Chicago.

Where can I use FoodOnEarth.com?

FoodOnEarth.com currently serves in the area of Chicago, IL. You can have a delivery order in this area. You can order food to your home, your friend's home, your office, etc. You can order food for carry out, dine-in and catering from our restaurant partners. We are updating our restaurant partners every week with your favorite neighborhood eateries. Please feel free to leave your comment, feedback and your restaurant requests here.

How do I order online?

  1. First, pick the restaurant from our restaurant partners that you would like to order and then pick the order type (delivery, pick up, dine in or catering). Please make sure your address is in the delivery area for each restaurant partners. In case of your address is out of delivery area, please directly contact the restaurant that you would like to order for delivery inquiries.

    Note: You can order online as guest (without log in) or member (log in). For delivery order, we need your address so the restaurants know where to delivery.


  2. Second, build your order by picking the items from menus through the categories on the left hand side and they will display all items in the center area. Pick item by clicking on the price/list name of food and then click on submit button. Note you can add the extra option, side order, addition note, etc for each item. After you submit items, they are automatically added to the summarize table cart on the right hand side.

    Note: You can change the order type anytime before check out by click at the top left hand side.


  3. Third, after your order is completed, click the check out button under the summarize table cart. The check out window will appear. Confirm your information such as name, address (especially for delivery order), payment type and so on. Then click "send my order now" and you are done.

    Note:

    First time user:

    For your first time order, the check out page is where you can set up your account. This account will remember your information such as your name, address (except credit card). This will make you more convenient for next time order. If you do not want to create an account, just un-check the box of "Would you like us to remember you?"


    Repeat user:

    This is the easy way for you, just log on by enter your e-mail address and password in the box in your right hand side (you do not need to fill your information again except your credit card information in case you pay by credit card). You can log on anytime before send your order.

How do I pay for my order?

Cash is always accepted for all participation restaurants. Please see the restaurant information page for the other forms of payment they accept online.

After placing your order

When you have clicked "send my order now", you will see "FoodOnEarth Thank You" page. This thank you page will also show your order detail. Once you see "FoodOnEarth Thank You" page, this means your order have been sent to the restaurant. After the restaurant has successfully received your order, you will receive a detailed order confirmation by email and the restaurant begins to prepare your food.

What if I need to check or change my current order?

If you want to check or change your order, we suggest contacting the restaurant directly. The restaurant phone number is provided in the restaurant information page. Do not wait to long or your food may already be prepared, nobody wants to waste food.

How do I know that a restaurant will deliver to me?

Each participating restaurant has its own delivery range. Please see at the restaurant information page for delivery detail.

How much do I pay for delivery charges?

Each participating restaurant has its own delivery charge. Please see at the restaurant information page for delivery detail. The delivery charge will be displayed in the summarize table cart and is automatically calculated into your total price.

My food arrived and there is something wrong with my order

When you received your order and there appears to be a problem with your order, please contact the restaurant directly to resolve the problem. The restaurant phone number is provided in the restaurant information page.

What should I do, if I have not received my food yet?

To check your order, we suggest contacting the restaurant directly. The restaurant phone number is provided in the restaurant information page.

Is there a minimum order?

Each participating restaurant has its own ordering guidelines. Please see the restaurant information page for minimum order information.

What about credit card information?

The restaurant charges your card directly and all the information is securely transmitted. FoodOnEarth does not keep any information of your credit card. In fact, you can safely enter your credit card number via our secure server. FoodOnEarth uses SSL encryption, to secure all credit card data that is transmitted.

Does it cost extra when I order online?

No, it doesn't cost extra. In fact, we have lots of promotions on the site as well.

How much should I tip for delivery?

Depend on customer. But 10-20% is a general accepted standard.

How long will my order take?

Your order should take about 45-60 minutes to be delivered and about 20-25 minutes for pick up/dine in, but this may vary depending on some factor such as peak hour rush and extreme weather conditions.

Note: The restaurant will contact you it the delivery time will exceed 60 minutes.

Can I pre-order?

Yes, you can. When you would like to order ahead of time, you can add specific time in "Delivery time" box on the check out page for example "delivery at 2.00 pm".

Note: The restaurant must be open at the delivery time. If you delivery time corresponds to the time range when the restaurant is closed, the order will be automatically cancelled.

Can I have my order delivered to the library or other common areas?

It depends on each participating restaurant. Some restaurants do not deliver to an address unless it is a specific location or room number. Please see the detail at the restaurant information page or contact the restaurant directly. The restaurant phone number is provided in the restaurant information page.

Can I call FoodOnEarth.com to place the order?

Unfortunately, not at this point.
